Tri-X film? Do you have your own darkroom? There are so few people around these days who even know what Tri-X is, let alone how to use it! You are obviously one of the few. This photo reminds me so much of Ansel Adams' work. Thank you!

GDP,
Thanks. I try to get as much mileage out of my photos as I can, so I will take your advice and use this one for the Monochrome Maniacs.

luna,
Thanks. Mist was rising off the river and the atmosphere was eerie that morning. I'm not sure what the artifact is in the lower right corner--probably flare from the sun hitting the plastic lens.

MMT,
Since I'm using simple (AKA toy) cameras, I also keep the developing as simple as I can. My darkroom consists of a bathroom sink, a film changing bag, a one-reel plastic tank, and Diafine developer. I use Ilford rapid fixer, Adorama Wash-Aid, and Photo-Flo. I hang the film in the shower stall to dry, sometimes accelerating the drying with a hand-held heat gun, if I'm in a hurry. I scan the negatives on a Canoscan 8800F flatbed scanner. I appreciate the undeserved comparison to Ansel Adams. He was much more meticulous than I will ever be when it comes to photography.

I love this photo. The film gives it a very unique look, very mysterious.
