Morrow's Honeysuckle

This wild shrub has been on our property since we bought it ten years ago, but I never knew what it was. Now I have learned it is a species of Asian bush honeysuckle which is an invasive introduced plant that is considered undesirable. Oh, well.

I think that's lovely. There are some invasive plants that I let take over part of my garden because I like them.

I agree - it's lovely! I know the feeling of getting all excited about identifying something, only to discover that it's "undesirable". Well, if you love it, that's all that counts, right?

It is beautiful...We noticed a beautiful plants with purple flowers along the pond. Turns out it is a terrible invasive and we are pulling it at every turn....Michelle
