Linnea W, Cap guns and super soakers just don't cut it against flintlock rifles.
#167 Dad, The cowboy and revolutionary soldiers were in a box of my childhood toys my mother saved. Don't know what happened to the really cool army men I had. You know the ones I mean--olive drab grenade throwers, bazooka shooters, and the like.
It is a reminder of my little green plastic soldier that sat on a green horse that I played with during World War II. Outside in the grass. It was a time to make believe the soldier with the plume on his French hat from before their Revolution, was actually a GI Joe. I still remember those days but had forgot until I saw your post. Wonderful.

Nothing for them this Xmas.
Ahh...didn't he have any weapons he could pull out of his sled to defend himself? This MM is a funny one!
Quirky cool...
Where'd you get the Minute men?
Aileni,
Maybe they seized the toys in the sleigh.

This one made me laugh out loud. What a great imagination you have!
Abe,
That is a great memory. I'm glad I helped conjure it up.
Maraca,
With people milling around with assault rifles and pistols outside presidential events these days, my little tableau doesn't seem so surreal.
