I'm so sorry. I suspect the economy is the last straw for those despairing already. Which does not make it any easier on the families left broken behind.

Sorry to hear about your friend, and yes it is a permanent solution. I will keep his widow, and children in my prayers. I hope this is the last time I have to write this during this country's trying times, but my guess is that it may not be.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend. I hope his family will be able to cope. Depression - both emotional and economical is such a terrible thing.

That's a lovely photo of the near-full moon from the other night. I took a similar shot myself on Friday and have yet to upload it. I suspect it will make a blog post appearance soon - if it turned out anywhere near as well as yours has.
