While backing out of the garage this morning, I caught this sight in the rear view mirror. Although not quite in flagrante delicto, this pair of wild turkeys were either getting ready to or had just mated. The tom, ever the romantic, is holding the hen down by standing on her back.

Waterfowl females are even less lucky. They get held underwater by the neck by the male...glug...glug.. Great catch...poor turkey hen....

What a capture! We've seen a lot of "tom-foolery" going on among our local turkeys, but have never caught them in the act.
They aren't too pretty, are they? Great capture of those turkeys.
